I believe a scripture that we really need to believe for every day and all the time is Psalms 37:23, “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord.” If you have received Jesus into your life as your Lord and Savior then you are good in Christ Jesus and you can claim that all your steps are ordered by the Lord. What a great promise that we will always be at the right place at the right time because our steps are ordered by the Lord. So when it comes to business opportunities, job opportunities, witnessing opportunities or any kind of good deals, we can always be at the right place at the right time to be a blessing or to get a blessing.
This is one reason why our Friday night street ministry goes so well. Every Friday night that we go out God leads us to the right street to talk to that person who is ripe and ready to hear the Gospel. If we will continue to listen to the Holy Spirit He will even show us the right words to say. A good example of this was this past Friday night. A Good Samaritan type woman had picked up a 17 year old girl off the streets of East St. Louis out of concern for the girls safety. She had been telling the girl that God would take care of her. Not long after that, the Good Samaritan lady pulled into the metro link parking lot where we had just gotten out of our van to witness. When we gave food and drink to the woman and the 17 year old girl she had picked up, the lady said to the young girl, “see I told you God would take care of you.” Needless to say, after I blessed the 17 year old girl with provision and witnessed to her about Jesus, she ended up praying with me to get saved.
If we will claim and believe Psalm 37:23, everyday of our lives can be fruitful and exciting like this.

I want to start this by saying just how much I love the Word of God and how special it is to me and my life. A lot of people can quote the scripture from Hebrews 4:12 which that says the Word of God is alive and powerful but yet I hear people say that they are having trouble getting into the Word or that it is dry to them. If people will just get a revelation that when we read the Word it is not like reading an encyclopedia where you just get head knowledge. Jesus said my Words are Spirit and Life so when we read the Word, the Spirit and Life of the Word is going into us which changes us and transforms us. The first few years I was saved I could really feel and see the Word of God changing me drastically because I was coming from such a dark sinful past. Now when I read the Word I know that by faith it is still changing me for the better and according to Proverbs 4: 22 it is health to all my flesh.

One of the most important things we can do as Christians is to spend a lot of time thinking about and meditating on how much God loves us. Knowing and believing the surpassing love that God has for us will help free us from stress, worry, and depression. The more revelation knowledge we have of God’s love for us, the more confidence we will have that God will never let us down and that He will always have our back. Because we know He loves we know we can trust Him to watch over His Word to perform it in our life if we will only believe.

Second Timothy 4:5 tells us to do the work of an evangelist which means every born again believer is to do the work of an evangelist. One of the jobs of an evangelist is to plant seed and that is simply preaching or sharing the Word of God with people. Any intelligent farmer knows that if he wants a wheat harvest he must plant wheat seed or if he wants a crop of corn he must plant corn seed. A smart farmer also knows that if you want a big crop you must plant a lot of seed and if you want a small crop you plant a little bit of seed. I know this sounds simple but yet how many ministers and Christians are praying and believing for a big harvest of souls to come into the Kingdom but yet they never plant any seed. If you want to see a big harvest of souls saved then go and witness to everyone around you. If you just want a little harvest of souls saved then go do just a little witnessing. The size of the crop always depends on the seed sower which is us.

Some people may want to argue or disagree with me on this point but I believe a Christian who wins souls for Christ is going to encounter a lot more attacks from the kingdom of darkness than a Christian who just warms a pew every Sunday. This is one reason why soul winning is not for wimps. In case you haven’t noticed we are in a spiritual war. The devil wants to bring as many people to hell with him as possible and God wants everyone to go to heaven. 2 Peter 3:9b says that God is, “not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” On the other hand the devil comes to kill, steal and destroy.
I can especially notice this warfare when it gets close to an outreach where a lot of people are going to get saved. (more…)

As some of you know I do a lot of street ministry and different outreaches to the lost every year. Recently I have been ministering in the inner city of St. Louis and at Fair St. Louis where thousands gather at the St. Louis Arch during the 4th of July for a concert, air show and fireworks. I also just evangelized the Four State Farm Show in Pittsburg, Kansas. One thing I have been struck with lately is why more people aren’t out evangelizing because there are so many people in this world who are without Jesus and therefore without peace and, to put it bluntly, headed to hell.
I believe the reason why many Christians don’t witness is because they don’t realize or believe the power there is in the Gospel. The Apostle Paul said, “I’m not ashamed of the Gospel because it is the power of God unto salvation.” When we open up our mouths and preach Jesus and the Word of God, the anointing of God will come down upon people and cause deliverance and salvation. If Christians believed this more they would be out witnessing. The Apostle Paul said in 2 Timothy 3:5 that in the last days people would have a form of godliness but deny its power. When we as Christians don’t witness because we don’t believe it will do any good, then we are denying the power of the Gospel.
We need to confess every day Luke 4:18-19 over our lives, that the Spirit of the Lord is upon me because He has anointed me to preach the Gospel to the poor, to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord. When we are full of God’s anointing and Holy Spirit we can’t fail. Blinders will come off the spiritual eyes of people and they will be saved, delivered and set free from any and every kind of bondage. So, like the Apostle Paul, get out there and quit being ashamed of the Gospel. Witness with confidence that there is great power in the Gospel to see the greatest harvest of souls this world has ever seen.

Ecclesiastes 11:4 in the Amplified translation says, “He who observes the wind [and waits for all conditions to be favorable] will not sow, and he who regards the clouds will not reap.”
This scripture became too real to me recently in Great Bend, Kansas while I was ministering at the 3-I Farm Show with the Fellowship of Christian Farmers. On the last day of the farm show the wind was incredibly strong. It was so strong that if felt like our tent would blow over. We needed to close the flaps on the tent and put the display table inside of the tent to keep the tent and materials from blowing away.
I have to admit that I did not feel like witnessing and a big part of it was because of the fierce blowing wind which was also cold making it a miserable day weather wise. But thank God I did not observe the wind or wait for all conditions to be favorable or else I wouldn’t have witnessed because the conditions were anything but favorable. In the midst of a strong windstorm I stepped out and started ministering to 3 people and all of them prayed with me to receive Jesus. From that point on throughout the day many more prayed to receive the Lord, including 2 guys from England, one guy from Australia and Future Farmers of America kids from Great Bend and Ellinwood.
As long as we wait for conditions to be perfect we will never see very many souls saved.

“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace.
In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
In this scripture Jesus talks about having peace and being of good cheer even though being in this world we will have tribulation. That tribulation can come from many places; in the workplace, in our business, with our kids and marriages, relationships with our neighbors and even through bad decisions others have made that affect us. You may be saying, how is it possible to have peace and joy in the midst of tribulation?
Well first of all Jesus starts off this verse saying, “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace.” In other words reading and meditating on God’s word will bring us peace in the middle of trouble and according to Joshua 1:8 (more…)

In 1 Kings 19:10 it says that they have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars. In the day and age that we live in people have forsaken being in God’s Word like they should because of so many distractions in this world with too much time on the computer, texting, TV and all kinds of entertainment. If we want to have the power and anointing that Smith Wigglesworth had with people being raised from the dead and many other miracles and healings then we need to (more…)

Seeing we are in the last days, we Christians need to be stronger than ever before because the Bible clearly says in 1 Timothy 4:1, “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;”. And then in 2 Timothy 3:1-4 says, “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;”
For Christians it shouldn’t be business as usual. God has warned us (more…)
