Some people may want to argue or disagree with me on this point but I believe a Christian who wins souls for Christ is going to encounter a lot more attacks from the kingdom of darkness than a Christian who just warms a pew every Sunday. This is one reason why soul winning is not for wimps. In case you haven’t noticed we are in a spiritual war. The devil wants to bring as many people to hell with him as possible and God wants everyone to go to heaven. 2 Peter 3:9b says that God is, “not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” On the other hand the devil comes to kill, steal and destroy.
I can especially notice this warfare when it gets close to an outreach where a lot of people are going to get saved. (more…)

As some of you know I do a lot of street ministry and different outreaches to the lost every year. Recently I have been ministering in the inner city of St. Louis and at Fair St. Louis where thousands gather at the St. Louis Arch during the 4th of July for a concert, air show and fireworks. I also just evangelized the Four State Farm Show in Pittsburg, Kansas. One thing I have been struck with lately is why more people aren’t out evangelizing because there are so many people in this world who are without Jesus and therefore without peace and, to put it bluntly, headed to hell.
I believe the reason why many Christians don’t witness is because they don’t realize or believe the power there is in the Gospel. The Apostle Paul said, “I’m not ashamed of the Gospel because it is the power of God unto salvation.” When we open up our mouths and preach Jesus and the Word of God, the anointing of God will come down upon people and cause deliverance and salvation. If Christians believed this more they would be out witnessing. The Apostle Paul said in 2 Timothy 3:5 that in the last days people would have a form of godliness but deny its power. When we as Christians don’t witness because we don’t believe it will do any good, then we are denying the power of the Gospel.
We need to confess every day Luke 4:18-19 over our lives, that the Spirit of the Lord is upon me because He has anointed me to preach the Gospel to the poor, to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord. When we are full of God’s anointing and Holy Spirit we can’t fail. Blinders will come off the spiritual eyes of people and they will be saved, delivered and set free from any and every kind of bondage. So, like the Apostle Paul, get out there and quit being ashamed of the Gospel. Witness with confidence that there is great power in the Gospel to see the greatest harvest of souls this world has ever seen.

Ecclesiastes 11:4 in the Amplified translation says, “He who observes the wind [and waits for all conditions to be favorable] will not sow, and he who regards the clouds will not reap.”
This scripture became too real to me recently in Great Bend, Kansas while I was ministering at the 3-I Farm Show with the Fellowship of Christian Farmers. On the last day of the farm show the wind was incredibly strong. It was so strong that if felt like our tent would blow over. We needed to close the flaps on the tent and put the display table inside of the tent to keep the tent and materials from blowing away.
I have to admit that I did not feel like witnessing and a big part of it was because of the fierce blowing wind which was also cold making it a miserable day weather wise. But thank God I did not observe the wind or wait for all conditions to be favorable or else I wouldn’t have witnessed because the conditions were anything but favorable. In the midst of a strong windstorm I stepped out and started ministering to 3 people and all of them prayed with me to receive Jesus. From that point on throughout the day many more prayed to receive the Lord, including 2 guys from England, one guy from Australia and Future Farmers of America kids from Great Bend and Ellinwood.
As long as we wait for conditions to be perfect we will never see very many souls saved.

“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace.
In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
John 16:33
In this scripture Jesus talks about having peace and being of good cheer even though being in this world we will have tribulation. That tribulation can come from many places; in the workplace, in our business, with our kids and marriages, relationships with our neighbors and even through bad decisions others have made that affect us. You may be saying, how is it possible to have peace and joy in the midst of tribulation?
Well first of all Jesus starts off this verse saying, “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace.” In other words reading and meditating on God’s word will bring us peace in the middle of trouble and according to Joshua 1:8 (more…)

In 1 Kings 19:10 it says that they have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars. In the day and age that we live in people have forsaken being in God’s Word like they should because of so many distractions in this world with too much time on the computer, texting, TV and all kinds of entertainment. If we want to have the power and anointing that Smith Wigglesworth had with people being raised from the dead and many other miracles and healings then we need to (more…)

Seeing we are in the last days, we Christians need to be stronger than ever before because the Bible clearly says in 1 Timothy 4:1, “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;”. And then in 2 Timothy 3:1-4 says, “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;”
For Christians it shouldn’t be business as usual. God has warned us (more…)

Last night, in the middle of the night, my wife Julie called me while I was working security at the St. Louis Dream Center. She informed me that there were 2 more major earthquakes, one in Japan and one in Chile. I also heard this past week that the governor of Missouri was having a meeting about how they would respond if there was an earthquake at the New Madrid fault line which is located in southeast Missouri. If there ever is a large earthquake there it would affect St. Louis and the state of Missouri in a major way.
The increase in earthquakes, wars and rumors of wars, etc. is what Jesus said in Matthew 24 would happen before His second return. So we need to get busy and occupy (occupy doesn’t mean occupy a church pew) (more…)

As I stated in my last post, part one of Fulfill Your Destiny, God has a special and unique plan for each and every one of us. This time I want to make a few points that will help us to see our destiny come to pass.
1. It is up to us to figure out what that plan is. We need to seek God and let Him show us what His plan is for our life. Now, keep in mind, that God will not hide His plan from you. Some day you will stand before Him and be judged on if you did His will or not. If He holds us accountable to do His will then of course He will show what His will is. We just need to seek Him with an open and willing heart to discover it
2. The next step is to write His plan down. (more…)

It is encouraging to know that God has a great plan and destiny for each and every one of us for 2010 and beyond. Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans that I have for you, saith the Lord, plans to prosper you and not harm you. Plans to give you a hope and a future.”
You may say, “Well, I have been waiting longer than most people to see my destiny come to pass.” Well it could be because God has such good things and big things for you that you have to go through a longer training and preparation time. But whatever the case God has a unique and special plan for you and no one else has the particular plan that you have. So it is important (more…)
