The Last of the Last Days Part Two
Seeing we are in the last days, we Christians need to be stronger than ever before because the Bible clearly says in 1 Timothy 4:1, “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;”. And then in 2 Timothy 3:1-4 says, “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;”
For Christians it shouldn’t be business as usual. God has warned us through His Word that there will be strong temptations out there in the last days and this can be easily seen with how our society has become sex crazed and just plain sin crazed. It has all become easily accessible and unfortunately Christians and Christian ministers have been falling into sin because of this.
This is just a reminder to all of us to be in God’s Word more than ever before; to be in His church, in His presence and in prayer and worship more than ever before so that we don’t become another victim. The more truth (God’s Word) we get on the inside of us, the more grieved we will be by the sin around us.
Meditate on and confess Romans 6:6-7, “Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin.” And then be a doer of Romans 6:11, “Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Also stop sin in your mind before it starts, 2 Corinthians 10:5, “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;” If we do these things we will not be just another fallen victim to sin.
