On Wednesday morning, September 30th, I and 5 students from the Ministry Academy in St. Louis began the long journey to the Navajo Nation in New Mexico. On our way we stopped at Faith Community Church in Great Bend, Kansas where we testified and ministered at their youth group. We spent the night at Faith Community and then on Thursday drove on to Navajo Ministries in Farmington, New Mexico where we stayed during our time in New Mexico.

Friday morning we were able to testify and minister at the Navajo Ministries early morning devotional meeting. One of the Ministry Academy students, Jimmy led praise and worship at this meeting. They then asked us to be guests on the morning show of their Christian radio station KNMI (more…)

For a long time I have felt like my kids have outgrown some of their toys and stuffed animals and I have been wanting them to weed them out to give some of them away. Besides, they were running out of space in their rooms because they had so many stuffed animals. Finally, we had a breakthrough. Two of our kids went through their stuffed animals and decided to sow some of them to kids in the inner city. So recently on a Friday night I took a bag full of their stuffed animals with me to North St. Louis for the Street Ministry (more…)

One recent Friday night, while with the evangelism team from the St. Louis Dream Center, we began to drive looking for people to reach out to. The weather was great that evening so there were a lot of young people playing basketball in the courts at Fairgrounds Park and in the courts across the street from the park. When we stopped to talk with them we told them that if they would come to our van we would give them free vitamin water and since it was a warm evening many of them came for the free water. Before giving out the water we shared the Gospel message with them and gave them Gospel tracts. As you may or may not know, I am one of the route leaders for the Friday night evangelism team at the St. Louis Dream Center. On my route we drive around the inner city of North St. Louis in a Dream Center van which is usually loaded some kind of beverage (water, power-aide, vitamin water, etc.) and some kind of snack (MRE’s-meals ready to eat, candy bars, etc.).
