JGM News April 2026

Almost 10 years ago at the Farm Progress Show in Decatur Illinois a young man who I thought was from Brazil sat in front of me as I presented the gospel to him. When I was done, he said in good English, God is going to open many doors for you, but you will not be able to do this in your own strength, but you will have to rely on His strength to do it. Whether that was an angel unaware or a man being led by the Holy Spirit, both of those things he said have come to pass and proved to be true. Many doors have opened for me to share the Gospel at FFA State conventions and farm shows, and I must rely on Gods strength to do it just like he said.

Every day I decree the Lord is my strength scriptures over my life so that I can run and preach and not be weary. God even gave me a dream where he showed me that with His strength, I can cross the finish line with the strength of a strong young man. In Joshua 14:10-11, Caleb declared at 85 years old that he was as strong and vigorous for battle as he was at age 40. I am not near 85 years old, but I said all this to reveal how in awe I am of God to bring His Word to pass in our lives if we will believe Him.

Since the end of January, I have ministered at farm shows in Sioux Falls SD, Des Moines IA, Louisville KY, and Kansas City, MO. We have also ministered at FFA state conventions recently in Utah, Nebraska, and California. All these events have one thing in common and that is thousands of young people have come to our booth with a hunger for spiritual truth. Many of these young people have ended up praying with us to receive the Lord. One young girl in Iowa said she had a dream about Jesus, but she had never received Him into her life, so I led her in the sinner’s prayer. In Kansas City, after I prayed with a group of 4 girls to be saved, one of the girls broke out into tears and then we all got a little teary eyed. Another example of God moving mightily among the thousands of FFA students was in Kansas City. Some big farm boys came to hear the Gospel with scoffing looks on their faces. After they listened to the Gospel message and prayed with us, their countenance completely changed to being almost teary eyed.

But so far, the highlight of this year was the great open-door God gave us to minister at the California FFA state convention in Ontario California. With all the negative things we have heard about California, these kids were so hungry to hear the Gospel message. I know there were hundreds that prayed with me to receive Jesus because when I started the convention, I had a big stack of New Beginnings flyers which gives instruction on living the Christian life. The flyers also include websites for solid teaching and discipleship, and have a phone number to help find a good church. I also shared an app they could download for access to strong, faith-based teaching. When the convention was over, so many kids had prayed to receive Jesus that the whole stack of New Beginnings flyers was gone. Many of the great revivals started in California and then spread to the nation and the world and I believe it is happening again.
